Kurt Clutch came through.
Kurt Suzuki's two-out single to left scored Eddie Rosario with the winning run for the Twins in the ninth inning of Saturday's 3-2 win over the Seattle Mariners at Target Field.
Suzuki's hit made a loser of Mariners closer Carson Smith, who had blown just one of 10 previous save chances.
Facing a 2-1 deficit, Miguel Sano opened the ninth with a double off Smith, who had allowed a .170 opponents average coming in. Pinch runner Shane Robinson moved up on a wild pitch to Torii Hunter and scored on yet another wild pitch to Suzuki.
