The Twins have too much pride in their ballpark to have Miguel Sano stomping around in left field, casting an oversized shadow and killing all the grass. So look for a series of deals to free up third base for Sano and to add relief pitching.
Winning the rights to negotiate with Byung-ho Park is an exciting but puzzling move when analyzed as a stand-alone transaction. My first thought was that it was a chance to appeal to an underrepresented fan segment. After Park arrives to serve as an attraction, the financially opportunistic Twins could open a new concession stand that sells kimchi, bulgogi and bibimbap, the latter of which sounds like an advanced metric but really is vegetables with fried egg.
