Welcome to an afternoon at The Improv. Up next at the open mic, put your hands together for the Minnesota Twins.
"We had to ad lib a lot of different facets of the game today," Brian Dozier said. "Ricky (Nolasco) going down, J.R. (Graham) coming in and all that stuff. We fell behind. But that stuff doesn't faze us anymore. You have to ad lib in this game or you get left behind."
The Twins strayed from the standard script Sunday afternoon against the Toronto Blue Jays. Instead, they just sort of winged it. Their winning formula had been to take an early lead, get halfway decent starting pitching, and hang on.
