MINNEAPOLIS -- Twins third baseman Miguel Sano left Friday's game against the Rangers in the sixth inning with a left hand contusion after getting hit by a pitch from Rangers reliever Tony Barnette. X-rays were negative, and Sano is day to day.
The 91.6-mph fastball from Barnette hit Sano on his left hand, near the same area where he was hit by a pitch from Dodgers reliever Josh Fields on July 24. That injury caused Sano to be held out of the starting lineup for two games.
