First-round draft pick Mike Kvasnicka was toiling with the Twins' Double-A affiliate New Britain last season, his fifth year in the minor leagues. And his handwringing had started before he was known as the guy who collided with prized prospect Byron Buxton.
"That was one thing that I did struggle with a little bit in pro ball, carrying stuff with (me) or worrying," Kvasnicka said. "Being drafted where I was was kind of like (a) 'prospect or suspect' kind of thing. Which one are you?"
The Twins decided on the latter and released the former Lakeville North and Gophers star during spring training in Fort Myers, Fla.
