MINNEAPOLIS -- Twins outfielder Eddie Rosario delivered the signature blow of a nine-run first inning in Minnesota's 12-5 victory over Arizona at Target Field on Sunday.
With the bases loaded and two out, Rosario launched an 0-2 fastball from Braden Shipley over the right-field wall. It marked his second career grand slam and the team's second this season. Entering Sunday, Minnesota had eight extra-base hits with the bases loaded this season.
"We have seen [Rosario] play in really good stretches," Minnesota manager Paul Molitor said. "Now we are just starting to see it more consistently.
