CHICAGO -- Outfielder Shane Robinson left the Twins on Thursday to be with his family and will remain away from the team for an undetermined period of time.
Manager Paul Molitor announced the news prior to Sunday's game against the White Sox, but said he hopes to have Robinson back for Monday's game against Detroit. Robinson last played on Sept. 4, but did not make the trip to Chicago when the team traveled on Thursday.
His daughter, Harper, remains at a hospital in Boston with esophageal atresia, a condition in which the esophagus isn't joined to the stomach correctly.
