Barring injury, Minnesota's bench will be composed of outfielder Oswaldo Arcia, catcher John Ryan Murphy and utility men Eduardo Nunez and Danny Santana. Arcia and Santana are both out of Minor League options and made the roster.
Given his versatility, Santana was always considered a strong candidate to make the team, but Arcia had to compete with Quentin, who had a hot start despite not playing in 2015, but cooled off recently. Quentin hit .250/.333/.500 with two homers and seven RBIs in 15 games. He has a June 1 out-clause in his contract, and he is expected to accept his assignment to Triple-A.
