DETROIT -- Several Twins players are dealing with illness at an inopportune time, including third baseman Trevor Plouffe, who was held out of the lineup against the Tigers on Sunday.
With Plouffe out, Eduardo Nunez made his first start at third since Sept. 9, which was also the last time Plouffe wasn't in the starting lineup.
"We've got a little bit of a bug going around in our clubhouse," Twins manager Paul Molitor said. "We have a lot of guys fighting differing things. A little bit of temperature, body-aching type of things. Trevor is one of those guys.
