Earlier today the All-Star Futures Game was played in Cincinnati. The US team came out on top 10-1. Kyle Schwarber received MVP honors. But what is most important is how each team’s prospects performed. The Twins had only one representative in the Futures Game.

Jose Berrios started on the mound for the World futures team. It is the second year in a row that Berrios has pitched in the Futures Game.
Max Kepler would have been the other Twins representative but injured his throwing shoulder just days before today.
Today Berrios walked the lead-off man on five pitches but then picked him off for the first out.
