The Minnesota Twins offense has had plenty of important pieces in their lineup this season as they lead Major League Baseball with 106 home runs and six runs per game. While there are several players that have stepped up to make the Twins tick, perhaps nobody has stepped up more than catcher Mitch Garver.
The 28-year old was enjoying a breakout campaign early this season hitting .329 with nine home runs and 19 RBI in 25 games. Although the Twins were very pleased with his hot start it came to a halt when he injured his ankle in a home plate collision with Shohei Ohtani on May 14.
