The game-ender came on Trevor Plouffe's leadoff homer in the bottom of the 11th, giving the Twins a 3-2 win over the Cleveland Indians on Friday night at Target Field.
Plouffe jumped ahead 3-0 against right-hander Bryan Shaw, took a strike and then hammered a 90-mph pitch into the seats in left. A Twins contingent, led by winning pitcher Blaine Boyer, was waiting for Plouffe at home plate to celebrate.
