Had Andrew Romine taken just a split-second longer to get rid of Kurt Suzuki's chopper in Wednesday's ninth inning, Twins players would have been mobbing Shane Robinson.
Instead, James McCann was able to tag Robinson just before his left hand was able to scrape the back part of home plate. A quick replay review of 39 seconds upheld the call.
An inning later, Robinson took a home run cut at a 98-mph first-pitch fastball. Instead of a walk-off homer, Robinson flied to center for the final out of the 10th.
Winning and losing aside, it's impossible to overstate how hard Twins players and coaches are pulling for Robinson to enjoy another big moment during this postseason chase.
