Minnesota Twins set single-season franchise home run record

The Minnesota Twins are looking for reasons to be positive in the past week as they’ve officially seen their lead in the American League Central evaporate. Although the Cleveland Indians pulled even with the Twins in the standings after Friday’s loss, there was still some reason for Twins fans to celebrate as they set the franchise record for home runs in a single season.

The previous Twins’ record was set in 1963 when Minnesota blasted 225 bombs thanks to 45 from Harmon Killebrew, 35 from Bob Allison and 33 from Jimmie Hall.
