Last year’s Futures game featured Minnesota Twins prospect J.T. Chargois and current Twin Adalberto Mejía. Chargois gave up three runs in the top of the ninth in a 4-3 game that ended up being 11-3 in favor of Team World. Mejia appeared in the bottom of the ninth and pitched a 1-2-3 inning to secure the victory. He was then traded to the Twins at the deadline for Eduardo Núñez.
Nick Gordon was the Twins first round pick (5th overall) in 2014 out of Olympia High School in Orlando, FL.
