The Minnesota Twins center fielder, Aaron Hicks was a late scratch from the lineup today. Hicks apparently had soreness in his elbow. Fellow outfielder, Shane Robinson took his place in the lineup.
When Hicks was scratched from the lineup, the question became, will the Twins call up the game’s top prospect, Byron Buxton?
Hicks was keeping the seat warm for Buxton in center field. He was batting a mediocre .247, but he provided stellar defense. He made a number of of catches that reminded Twins fans of a young Torii Hunter.
After having an impressive month of May, the Twins have come crashing back down to earth in the early part of June.
