The Minnesota Twins are in the middle of likely the worst decade of baseball in the franchise’s history. One of the benefits of that is some high draft picks and it is through those picks and some savvy trades that the Twins farm system is one of the tops in the game again.
That hasn’t gone unrecognized as Jim Kallis at MLB.com has included the Twins farm system as part of his list of most improved systems for 2018. The development of Royce Lewis and Alex Kirilloff into top-10 prospects in all of baseball certainly is a big part of that.
