Minnesota Twins: Eddie Rosario focuses on discipline

Eddie Rosario was out early Tuesday afternoon, working with Twins outfield instructor Butch Davis on the tricky caroms that Target Field's outfield corners and limestone facing tend to produce.

Those are nothing compared to the unexpected bounces life has thrown at Rosario on his way up through the minors.

In addition to a failed attempt at converting to second base, the 23-year-old from Puerto Rico missed the first 50 games of last season after a second positive test for a drug of abuse.

"I'm trying to take advantage of the second opportunity Minnesota has given me," Rosario said Tuesday, with assistant hitting coach Hernandez acting as his translator.
