Byron Buxton has not gotten off to the start that he and the Minnesota Twins had hoped for. Last night may have been the start of something special for Buxton and the Twins.
Playing on ESPN2 and facing one of their biggest rivals the Twins slugged four home runs and beat the Chicago White Sox 13-2. It was also the first game that Buxton hit out of the leadoff spot in the big leagues.
Buxton got the party started by hitting a leadoff double, the first double of his big league career. His elite speed was on display as he legged out the double that would have been a single for the majority of big league players.
