The Minnesota Twins made it five in row with their 11-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays last night. They are now just a half game back of the Texas Rangers for the second Wild Card spot in the American League.
Leading the charge for the Twins last night was their young trio of Byron Buxton, Miguel Sano and Eddie Rosario. The Twins are now 5-0 with Buxton and Sano in the lineup.
Buxton led off the game with a single right up the middle of the diamond. Thanks to his speed the Rays weren’t able to turn a double play on Brian Dozier’s grounder to Evan Longoria.
