Miguel Sano, Aaron Hicks lead Twins to rout of Rangers

Miguel Sano and Aaron Hicks have shared space under the Twins Future Stars banner for several years but never divided and conquered like they did Wednesday night at Target Field.

The slugger and the speedy center fielder had breakout performances at the plate, combining for seven hits, three home runs, eight runs batted in and 17 total bases in Minnesota's 11-1 drubbing of the Texas Rangers.

With their season on the brink following a disastrous 1-6 road trip in which they were outscored 60-27 by Toronto and Cleveland, the Twins have won consecutive games for the first time since July 23-24.
