Migraine sends prospect Kepler to bench

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Max Kepler, one of the Twins' top prospects, was slated to hit second and start in center field in the Twins' split-squad game against the Orioles on Tuesday but was scratched after suffering a migraine before the game.

Kepler, ranked as the No. 44 overall prospect by MLBPipeline.com, was replaced by Darin Mastroianni in the lineup and is expected to return to action on Wednesday. He's suffered from migraines in the past, but assistant general manager Rob Antony said it's not a recurring problem.

"He had a migraine this morning, so they scratched him and put Mastro in there," Antony said.
