Max Kepler, the Southern League MVP helped Double-A Chattanooga bring home the Southern League Championship. Now he’ll be joining the Minnesota Twins for the stretch run as the Twins try to make the playoffs.
Kepler can play all three outfield positions and has spent time at first base. With Eddie Rosario, Aaron Hicks, Torii Hunter and Byron Buxton, Kepler likely won’t receive much action in the outfield.
Kepler finished his MVP season with a .322 batting average with 32 doubles, 13 triples, nine home runs and 71 RBIs. He finished the season with a bang by hitting three home runs in the Championship series.
