CLEVELAND -- In the eighth inning of Friday's 5-0 win over the Indians, Twins right fielder Max Kepler fouled a pitch off his right foot, causing the team's trainer to come to the batter's box to check on him. Although Kepler stayed in for the rest of the game, he was experiencing discomfort in the foot before Saturday's game.
As a result of the injury, Twins manager Paul Molitor opted to scratch Kepler from the lineup on Saturday.
"You know, I had him in there originally today," Molitor said. "He went out early to test that foot out where he fouled the ball off last night.
