Joe Mauer triples his pleasure as Twins beat Mariners

SEATTLE -- Maybe Joe Mauer should just stay in the No. 3 slot in the batting order after all.

Mauer had three hits and drove in three runs Sunday, including a two-run triple in the 11th inning, as the Twins claimed a 4-2 win over the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field.

Mauer's winning hit came off rookie left-hander Tyler Olson, who tried to sneak a one-strike curveball past the three-time American League batting champion.
