The Minnesota Twins need an upgrade at shortstop. If they don’t acquire one at the trade deadline, they need to give Jorge Polanco a shot to be the everyday shortstop.
After a surprising rookie season, Danny Santana was expected to become the everyday starting shortstop and be the Twins leadoff man.
Santana struggled out of the gate and has yet to find his footing. A successful stint in Triple-A Rochester gave Santana and his supporters new hope. During his second time around with the big league club it’s been more of the same for Santana. He’s struggling at the plate and in the field.
