Hicks scratched with sore right elbow

MINNEAPOLIS -- Center fielder Aaron Hicks was scratched from Saturday's lineup with a sore right elbow after feeling discomfort in his throwing elbow while swinging in the batting cage before the game.

Hicks was replaced in center by Shane Robinson, who batted ninth in the lineup. Twins manager Paul Molitor said it's still too early to say the severity of Hicks' elbow issue.

"He's having some trouble with his right elbow with his swing, which isn't a good sign," Molitor said. "We'll back him off but we'll have to get some more evaluation and detail on how we expect it to go.
