MINNEAPOLIS -- Eduardo Escobar wasn't among the leaders at shortstop in the latest ballot update for the All-Star Game released on Tuesday, but he's continuing to build his case to be a first-time All-Star.
Escobar had a go-ahead two-run double off Red Sox ace Chris Sale in the sixth. And after reliever Zach Duke couldn't hold a one-run lead in the eighth, Escobar smacked a single that brought home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the inning to lift the Twins to a 6-2 win in the series opener at Target Field.
