Starlin Castro giveth and Starlin Castro taketh away.
A day after a mental error by the Chicago Cubs shortstop sent the Twins to their third straight victory, Castro delivered a two-run single off Blaine Boyer in the 10th inning of Saturday's 4-1 Cubs win.
Chris Denorfia added a bloop single off Boyer to score the final run of the 10th as the Twins fell to 6-5 against National League opponents.
Chris Coghlan was walked intentionally ahead of Castro to load the bases with one out. Castro had lifted just one sacrifice fly on the year while grounding into 10 double plays, so the move seemed like the right play.
