HOUSTON -- The Twins debuted their potential outfield of the future against the Astros on Saturday, as Eddie Rosario started in left field, Byron Buxton started in center and Aaron Hicks started in right.
All three have seen time in center field this season, giving the Twins plenty of range in the outfield. Hicks is a natural center fielder, but will play corner outfield in games where Buxton gets the start. It marked just the fourth career start in right for Hicks.
"It's potentially something that could play out long-term for this organization," Twins manager Paul Molitor said.
