San Diego broke through against Berrios in the top of the sixth inning when Manuel Margot's sacrifice fly plated Hunter Renfroe. Austin Hedges would tack on a pair of insurance runs in the eighth with a two-run homer to the opposite field.
That was all Chacin needed. He allowed only three hits, while striking out three. Berrios also lasted seven frames, allowing a run on two hits and fanning four.
Brad Hand worked a scoreless ninth inning for the save.
