Alex Meyer made his big league debut last night against the Milwaukee Brewers. Let’s just say it didn’t go the way he would have liked.
Meyer got the call from the bullpen in the first inning, after staring pitcher; Trevor May was able to record just one out.
The hard throwing southpaw pitched an impressive first inning by getting the final two outs. The second inning is where things went south.
Meyer opened up the second inning by walking Ryan Braun. With one out and already one run scored in the inning, Meyer served up a two-run home run to Aramis Ramirez after falling behind in the count 3-1.
