The Minnesota Timberwolves have been aggressive in the offseason, trading for Jimmy Butler and signing Jeff Teague and Taj Gibson. The Timberwolves aren't done making moves yet either, as they have interest in both Nick Young and Gerald Green.
Yet another wing #Twolves have inquired on is Gerald Green. Casting a wide net, hoping a bigger name falls into their $4.3M exception laps.

That last tweet refers to Young, who is also drawing interest from the Warriors. Golden State also has more money in their mid-level exception to use. Green hasn't attracted much reported interest so far.

Both players would provided needed wing depth. The Timberwolves renounced their rights to restricted free agent Shabazz Muhammad to afford Gibson. Green averaged only 5.6 points per game and shot 35.1 percent from 3-point range last year. Young put up 13.2 points per game and hit 40 percent of his 3s.
