After winning back-to-back games against the Los Angeles Clippers and Chicago Bulls, respectively, the Minnesota Timberwolves were hoping to make it three-in-a-row against an underperforming New Orleans Pelicans squad at home on Monday night.
Things didn’t go exactly to plan for the Wolves as the Pelicans jumped out 17-point first-half lead, ultimately leading to a 116-102 win.
The Wolves seemed to force things offensively early and whether it was poor defense or great offense, the Pelicans were on fire, shooting 48.5 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from the 3-point line.
The All-Star break is only three days away.
