The Minnesota Timberwolves faced one of their biggest tests of the season on Friday night, taking on the Golden State Warriors while trying to inch close to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The Wolves passed the test.
Minnesota topped Golden State 103-102 in front of a Target Center crowd of 20,412, which was a new single-game attendance record.
The Wolves got a big stop late in the win. Stephen Curry’s jump shot with just under five seconds remaining rimmed out to give Minnesota the victory.
Andrew Wiggins led the Wolves with 24 points and five rebounds.
