Wolves Fall Short In Loss To Kings

The Minnesota Timberwolves jumped out to an early lead over the Sacramento Kings, leading by as much as 16 points in the first half. But in the third quarter, the Kings got red hot from the field to regain the lead and not look back.

Sacramento outscored Minnesota 36-26 in the third quarter and the Wolves saw their two-game winning streak come to an end, falling 124-117 on Saturday night at Target Center.

Minnesota was led in the game by Andrew Wiggins with 32 points, three rebounds and three assists. Karl-Anthony Towns had 26 points and 11 rebounds, Ricky Rubio had 11 points, 13 assists and six rebounds, Gorgui Dieng had 11 points and eight rebounds, Brandon Rush had 11 points, Shabazz Muhammad, Tyus Jones and Adreian Payne had six points each and Kris Dunn added four points, three rebounds and three assists off the bench for the Wolves.
