The Wolves didn’t have much trouble on a back-to-back and opened up a five-game homestand on the right foot by defeating the Pelicans 116-98 on Saturday night.
Fittingly, it was also "Statement Saturday" as the team wore its aurora green jerseys.
Minnesota led 98-71 after three quarters.
Karl-Anthony Towns, who has struggled somewhat against Anthony Davis in his career, led the Wolves with 21 points and 16 rebounds. Jimmy Butler also finished with 21 points to go with eight assists and seven rebounds. Andrew Wiggins scored 20 points to go with eight rebounds, the blocks and two steals.
