Wolves can't contain Walker, Hornets

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Monday at Time Warner Cable Arena, the Timberwolves ran into a two-pronged problem in their 108-103 loss to the Charlotte Hornets: Too much Kemba Walker and not enough Timberwolves bench.

In a game featuring big runs from start to finish, the Charlotte Hornets finished the third quarter on a 10-2 run, the started the fourth with six straight points to build an 88-75 lead they never lost.

Walker, the Hornets’ super-quick point guard, scored 34 points, hitting six of Charlotte’s 12 three pointers in the process.

But the Wolves could have overcome that with a starting five that was efficient and productive.
