The Wolves are continuing to add to the ever-evolving group of folks surrounding Flip Saunders and interim coach Sam Mitchell. And once again, it’s someone with a Detroit Pistons (and a Saunders) connection.
In a move that has been rumored for weeks, the Wolves announced the hiring of Arnie Kander as Vice President of Sports Performance. Kander spent 23 seasons with the Pistons in a variety of roles, most recently as the team physical therapist.
He clearly was a favorite of players in Detroit, and was added to the Wolves’ payroll on the heels of the signing of longtime Piston Tayshaun Prince.
