Minnesota's prodigal basketball son has returned.
Tyus Jones -- who popped into the national spotlight as early as the eighth grade, who led Apple Valley to a Class 4A high school state championship two years ago, who passed on the Gophers to join his best friend Jahlil Okafor for a season at Duke, where he won an NCAA tournament in April -- is back.
Jones, the Wolves' second first-round pick in Thursday's NBA draft, made his debut Friday at a news conference in Minneapolis alongside No. 1 overall pick Karl Anthony Towns as a member of the team he watched growing up.
