Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves announced the team has waived center Nikola Pekovic.
Pekovic appeared in 271 games for the Wolves, averaging 12.6 points, on 51.8 percent shooting, and 6.7 rebounds. He was drafted by Minnesota in the second round (31st overall) of the 2008 NBA Draft.
