Timberwolves: Tyus Jones active for first game against Chicago

Timberwolves rookie point guard Tyus Jones will be active for the first time this season for Saturday's game against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center, according to coach Sam Mitchell.

Mitchell said that Jones would replace guard Kevin Martin, who is out Saturday for personal reasons.

Jones, an Apple Valley native and former Duke standout, was inactive for the first four games. Mitchell said Friday that there were no plans right now for him to be placed in the NBA Development League.

Ricky Rubio and Zach LaVine have been the top two point guards for the Wolves to begin the season.
