His frustration obvious, his answers honest, Edwards sat at his locker Sunday at Target Center and tried to explain how a team with so much to play as the regular season winds down could come out and play like this.
"I wish I could figure it out," he said. "I don't know."
The Timberwolves lost to the lowly Portland Trail Blazers 107-105. For the 19th time in 38 tries this season the Wolves (39-40) played a team with a losing record and lost. It was the third consecutive loss and second consecutive second-half debacle for the Wolves, who continue to fall in the Western Conference standings after previously winning four in a row.
