On Saturday, we detailed some of Kevin Garnett’s Area 21 All-Star Weekend shenanigans along with Rasheed Wallace. But Garnett isn’t just interviewing players and celebrities on and around the court; he’s giving interviews of his own. It’s a little out of character for KG, to be sure, but his sit-down with Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today was interesting nonetheless.
Garnett talked a lot about Area 21 and how his ongoing segment on TNT came about. He also spoke to how much fun he’s had working one-on-one with the likes of Giannis Antentokounmpo, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Joel Embiid, and others (he mentions Towns as someone he speaks with but hasn’t worked with directly in awhile), but reiterated that he doesn’t see himself getting into coaching.
