Pay. The. Man.
Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves agreed on a four-year, $224 million supermax contract extension that will keep him in Minnesota through the 2027-28 season, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Towns’ deal will be 35% of the team’s salary cap, with 8% annual raises in each season of the contract.
This is a big moment for Towns. He stayed with the Wolves through thick and thin. If he finishes the contract, he will be 14 years in Minnesota, the longest run of consecutive years in franchise history.
