Throwback Thursday: Wolves draft Kevin Garnett

In honor of the NFL Draft that begins tonight, today’s Throwback Thursday post will look back at arguably the most influential NBA draft pick in the history of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On June 25, 1995 the Timberwolves selected Kevin Garnett with the fifth overall selection in the draft. Garnett was the only player in the draft selected straight out of high school, as Garnett took his talents to the NBA straight from Farragut Academy High School. When looking at the players from that draft, it’s almost ridiculous how much better Garnett’s career turned out to be than the rest of the players in the class.
