Coming off a loss to the New York Liberty on Tuesday, the Minnesota Lynx look to avoid their first two-game losing streak of the season as they took on the Connecticut Sun.
The Lynx would get off to a slow start, missing two of their first three shots including four turnovers in the first five minutes of the game, leading to an early 10-2 lead for the Sun. Connecticut lead would grow as high as 11 as Dewanna Banna would score 11 of the Sun’s 20 first-quarter points.
In the closing minutes of the first quarter, the Lynx league-leading defense would find its groove, five times over a two-minute span, leading to offense for Minnesota on the other end.
