Gersson Rosas stressed that Ryan Saunders was the best fit in terms of relationships with existing players and Rosas' overall approach as president of basketball operations. "We want to do things that haven't been done."
Surrounded by his family and several Timberwolves players, Ryan Saunders was officially introduced as the head coach of the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Saunders, 33, took over midway through last season as the interim coach after Tom Thibodeau was fired. New President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas interviewed at least four outside candidates before deciding to retain Saunders – the youngest coach in the NBA -- as the permanent coach.
