The Minnesota Timberwolves addressed one of their biggest personnel concerns this offseason by acquiring the rights to former Kentucky Wildcat guard Rob Dillingham on the first night of the 2024 NBA Draft via trade with the San Antonio Spurs. The Wolves traded their 2031 first-round unprotected pick and their 2030 pick swap (which is top-one protected) to land Dillingham, who was selected eighth overall. Dillingham will have “a role and a responsibility” from the get-go according to President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly.
