The Minnesota Timberwolves didn’t have long to stew in their 117-90 blowout home loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals, as the two teams returned 48 hours later to the Target Center floor for Sunday night’s Game 4.
There was quite a bit on the line for the Wolves in the pivotal Game 4 matchup. If they win, they maintain home-court advantage and go up 3-1; teams up 3-1 are 272-13 all-time in those series, a 95.4% win rate. If they lose, they cede home-court back to the defending champions and let the series slip to 2-2; the team with home-court advantage goes on to win 80% of the time.
